This blouse reminds me of winter thawing into spring, as the snow melts and the first blooms begin to blossom. Made of a gorgeous thin silk printed with elegant cherry blossoms, the pattern is dynamic yet refined. Designed by Dorothy Korby, a midcentury master of blouses, it has small shoulder pads and closes up the back with six self-fabric buttons.
As noted on the blog No Accounting For Taste, Dorothy Korby "believed that 'given a wardrobe of blouses and three basic skirts, a girl can dress herself with complete fashion assurance for every college or career purpose.'" (Syracuse Post-Standard, September 18 1951.)
I'm inclined to agree with Dorothy.... Stunning separates are an easy way to mix and match your way to a larger wardrobe!
Skirt is for outfit inspiration and is sold separately.
